Hormone Replacement

BIOIDENTICAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY (BHRT) MAY HELP RELIEVE THE SYMPTOMS OF HORMONAL IMBALANCE BY RAISING HORMONES TO THEIR OPTIMAL LEVELS.

The Biote Method of specialized hormone pellet therapy uses custom-compounded pellets specifically designed to replace the hormones men and women lose over time.

How it Works

Bio-identical hormone optimization in both men and women. The BioTE method replaces testosterone in men and estradiol and/or testosterone in females via plant based hormone pellets that are injected into the subcutaneous fat.

These slowly dissolve over time, producing a steady-state of hormone release over 3-4 months in women and 4-5 months in men.

  • Women

Hormone imbalance in women can occur as part of the aging process and may reflect genetic predispositions for certain conditions. However, hormone balance or imbalance can also be affected by the foods we eat, the exercise we get, and the amount of stress we experience.

As women age, hormone production naturally goes down. This process is hastened with a variety of events that may produce a stress response.

Symptoms of deficiency may include chronic fatigue, poor sleep, memory changes, low libido, joint aches, sluggishness, anxiety, hyperactivity, irritability, itchy, dry skin, poor bone health, amongst many others.

Women may receive testosterone and/or estradiol.

Post-menopausal women with an intact uterus also receive micronized progesterone

Women generally undergo pellet insertion every 3-4 months.

  • Men

Hormone therapy for men can take the form of patches, creams, pills, injections, or pellets, all containing testosterone. The Biote Method of bioidentical hormone replacement for men uses pellets containing bioidentical testosterone and may help with many different symptoms commonly associated with hormonal imbalance.*
